This hike follows the footsteps of the old mining industry in the Triebisch valley near Meißen. You will learn more about the geology and flora in this idyllic river valley.

Active volcanism in the Meißner area triggered the formation of ore deposits. There has been mining since the Middle Ages and iron, marble and silver were mined.

The path leads along the Triebisch from the Miltitz lime mine to the Rothschönberger Stolln. The way back is via Heynitz Castle.
