This day hike in the southernmost area of Saxon Switzerland follows the Caspar-David-Friedrich path and the Malerweg stage 6. We  discover rocks and viewpoints where Caspar David Friedrich painted his world-famous picture “Wanderer above the Sea of Fog”, among other things. On the tour we learn more about the creation of the unique landcsape, its rare plants and wildlife in this protected area of the national parc region. Join the trip to experience unique nature and art!

  • 9:30 a.m. Schmilka Hirschmühle S-Bahn station

  • 2:30 p.m. Krippen S-Bahn station

TOUR DATES:

  • about 12 km, about 5 hours

  • approx. 400 meters altitude

  • Sturdy shoes and good basic fitness are required

  • Please bring your own provisions

  • Refreshments possible at Wolfsberg and in  Schöna
